| 摘 要： | 中国加入WTO后 ,作为“经济英语”的商务英语在我国的对外多边贸易中将发挥着越来越重要的作用。本文从经贸的角度分析了英语充当“国际语”的历时和共时背景。在此基础上探讨了商务英语在WTO货物贸易、服务贸易和知识产权贸易三大领域中的作用。最后提出了商务英语在未来新的贸易形势下所面临的新的任务。

| Abstract: | Business English, as Economic English, will exert more and more important functions in our external multilateral trade after our country joins WTO. From the angles of economics and trade, this paper analyzes the diachronic and synchronic backgrounds of English as "international language".On this basis, it explores the functions of Business English in the three trade fields of commodity, service and intellectual property rights of WTO. Finally, it expounds some new tasks of Business English in the forthcoming trade situations. |
