| Abstract: | This paper explores Liu Zongyuan's thinking on biographical literature in four aspects-aim of biographical writing, how to collect and reorganize material for biographies, the biographer's responsibility and his novel sense of literary style, discusses the systematic nature in these four aspects, and reveals that Liu Zongyuan's thoughts on biographical literature have made great contributions to China's ancient theories of biographical literature. |
