On the Anti-intervening Policy of Lincoln Administration during the American Civil War

Confronted with serious foreign intervention during the American Civil War,Lincoln administration made efforts to prevent England and France from admitting the southern confederacy,blockaded the import of materials into the southern confederacy,precluded England and France from manufacturing warships for the southern confederacy,and issued the Emancipation Proclamation in order to gain the sympathy of the world.The above-mentioned anti-intervening measures safeguarded the unity of the nation and brought the final victory to Lincoln administration.
