The Renew of Conservation Concept for the Historic City of Suzhou |

| Abstract: | In this paper,a critical analysis of present and charcteristics of conservation situation of the historic city of Suzhou is made first,abd then some new conservation concepts,which are called overall conservation,are proposed to improve the conservation of the historic city of Suzhou.According to these new concepts,the consnrvation of the historic city of Suzhou should prepare actively for the economic and social development,keep the historic continuance of the city,implement the basic principle of prioritizing human being,and improve the overall urban function and the life quality of urban residents. |
