中国现代性的景观与品格 --认识后古典远缘杂种文化

在顺现代说和逆现代说之外,需要倡导第三种思风即在反思中重构现代。中国现代性的景观体现为扩张语境、强势他者、后古典、平常身份及复兴之梦。中国现代性的独特品格表现在它是一种后古典远缘杂种文化。通过远缘杂交,它与中国古典性文化的近缘杂种品格区别开来;而通过后古典性,它得以与地球上其他现代性文化区别开来。它具体呈现为后古典语文、双重时空体验和硬抽软具机制等形态。与有关中国现代文化已经完全数典忘祖这类看法不同,我相信它与自身的古典传统具有内在的息息相通关联,体现了同样的开放、变化与杂交精神。

Visions and Characters of Modernity in China --Understanding the Post-Classical Distant Hybrid Culture

It is necessary to call for reconstructing modernity in reflection --a third wind of thinking, which blows across both theories of modernity and anti-modernity, leaving behind the visions of modernity in China, i.e. extending context, powerful otherness, post-classicism, ordinary identity and dream of resurgence, and a special character of it as a post-classical distant hybrid culture. With the post-classical and distant hybridization, modernity in China presents its unique characters in post-classical language and literature, dual experience of time and space, etc. so as to distinguish itself from the classical culture in China and from other modern cultures in the world. It, indeed, has no less a spirit of openness, transformation and hybridization.
