The self-worth theory and its usage in instruction

The self-worth theory is a kind of achievement motivation theory.In the competitive learning environment,in order to protect self-worth,students take measures to avoid failure and attribution of showing lack of ability.The four-quadrant model of self-worth theory demonstrates how different types of students think of abilities and efforts.During instruction,we should strengthen attribution training of students,use reasonable encouragements to guide them to recognize correctly the double sides of efforts and have a constructive view of ability acquisition.
