The Historical Position and Current Role of UNHCR

Relief to refugees is one of the most difficult tasks in the world. UNHCR is the most important international organization to deal with the refugees. This article reviews the hard experiences of UNHCR and its efforts to handle the refugees during and after the Cold War. While emphasizing the great contributions of UNHCR to solve the refugee problems, this article also probes into the complexities, challenges, and the possible reforms it has to face.
