摘    要:文章通过对英汉习语喻体联想效果的比较,并从地理环境、风俗习惯、历史典故、文学作品、宗教信仰方面探析其联想意义差异的原因,旨在帮助英语学习者更好地理解习语喻体所传承的文化内涵,从文化角度正确把握习语喻体的联想意义,从而准确理解、掌握和运用英语习语。

Abstract:This essay is a contrastive study on the associative meanings of the vehicles of English and Chinese idioms,as well as their cultural connotations from the perspective of geographic environment,customs and habits,literary quotation,literary works,and religious beliefs.It aims to help the readers to have a thorough understanding of the associative meanings of the vehicles of English idioms in terms of cultural connotations and to have a good command of English idioms.
