| Abstract: | This paper will attempt to analyze the target reader＇s orientation in Hawkes＇ translation of The Story of the Stone from the level of language and culture with the theory of Aesthetics of Reception. It also points out that the C-E translation of Hou Lou Meng should be subject to some changes against the backdrop of economic and cultural globalization. |
