| 摘 要： | 委婉语是各种文化中都存在的一种表达方式 ,带有极强的民族文化特征。它像一面镜子 ,能够反映出形形色色的社会心理状态。以往对委婉语的研究往往局限于列举委婉语的应用领域和实例。用现代语言学的理论来分析英语委婉语的形成规律及其交际功能 ,从而更好地揭示英语委婉语的语用特征

| Abstract: | Euphemism is a mode of expression with national Characteristic that exists in all cultures and reflects different kinds of psychology. The traditional study of euphemism is mainly confined to the fields where English euphemism is used and some examples,while the author in this paper attempts to analyze the formation rule and communicative function of English euphemism using the theories of modern linguistics. |
