| 摘 要： | 哈代的小说中存在浓厚的宿命论和命运观，《德伯家的苔丝》充分体现其悲剧般的命运观。通过对意象及其特征的描述，解读哈代在《德伯家的苔丝》中如何运用不同意象更加真切、形象地表现苔丝的悲剧命运。

| Abstract: | Hardy's novels embodied his thoughts of destiny and fatalism.Tess of the d'Urbervilles is a good case in point.The paper described the definition of image and its features.And it interpreted how Hardy manifested Tess's tragic destiny more distinctly and vividly by means of using different images. |
