Mongolian Image in Travel Notes of European from 13^th Century to 14th Century

Mongolian opened up the Eurasia when they made the expedition to the western world and provided the possibility of cultural exchange between the west and the east. From 13^th to 14^th century, some European missionaries and businessmen travelled to Mongolian area and left a number of letters and travel notes recording the situation of Mongolia. Through analyzing the image of Mongolian in the travel notes and letters of European from 13^th to 14th century, the feature of Mongolian image, the reason of getting the stereotypical image and their influence to cultural exchange between the west and the east can be further explored.
