| 摘 要： | 内战后，国务卿威廉·亨利·西沃德继续推行被内战打断的扩张进程，购买阿拉斯加获得了成功，但其他的扩张活动引发了反扩张主义者的强烈反对。反扩张主义者要求政府重点关注国内重建问题，由于他们的反对，西沃德购买西印度群岛、插足夏威夷等计划最终无法实现。

| Abstract: | After the Civil War,William Henry Seward,Secretary of State of the Johnson administration,began to carry out his expanding plan which had been seriously Blocked during the War.In the case of Alaska,he was successful,but he incurred violent resistance in all other cases.The anti-expansionists urged the government to concern itself with the domestic problem of reconstruction.Eventually as a result of this,Seward's Danish and Hawaiian treaties had not come true. |
