高等学校专业设置工作刍议

当前,在大规模扩招和扩大办学自主权的背景下,高等学校专业设置的重要性越来越凸现。为切实做好高等学校的专业设置工作,避免盲目性与随意性,需要转变观念,充分论证,组织力量进行“前端设计”;加强科学性与民主性的决策,充分发挥学术权力作用,并正确运用行政权力;同时,在按设计方案进行操作中,要以专业设置工作贯穿于其它各项工作之中进行。

Tentative Suggestions for the Specialties Offered in Institutes of Higher Learning

At present,the large scale of enrolm ent and the enlargement of the decision -making power of running school have made it more and more important for the institutes of high er learning to offer their specialties.It is necessary for us to change ou r old ideas,to make a full demonstrat ion and to organize forces to make a promisin g design in order to do well the specia lty -offering work in the institutes of higher learning as well as to avoid blindness and randomness.We should enhance the scientificity and democracy of the decision making,bring th e academic power into full play and make correct use of administrative p ower.At the same time,the operation of the specialty -offering work must be permeated with other work.
