| 摘 要： | 近代史上的报人大多数都是由知识分子充当的.这些报人的知识分子品格中有传统的一面,他们像其他知识分子一样参加过科举考试,具有知识分子特有的精英意识;又有近代化的一面,他们都接受了西方的进步思想.传统的一面与近代化的一面结合在一起,使他们用办报的形式参与政治,或改良,或革命.传统的一面又常常与近代化的一面发生矛盾,集中表现在他们对报纸的商业属性的漠视上.这就构成了近代报人复杂的知识分子品格.

| Abstract: | In modern history, most of newspapermen consist of intellectuals. The personality of the intellectuals is traditional and they participated in imperial examination and have flower spirit. On the other hand, they accepted progressing thoughts of western countries. Combination of tradition and modernization makes them participate in politics and reform and revolution as a newspaperman. The tradition often contradicts modernization, which makes them ignore commerce aspect of their newspaper. These aspects compose complex intellectual personality of modern newspapermen. |
