| 摘 要： | 《白鲸》从出版时受到公众的冷落,到后来日益被人们所重视与接受,并成为世界文学经典的重要原因之一,在于生态批评语境之下作品所显现出的人与自然和谐共处的生态价值取向。作者通过对主人公亚哈船长及其船上水手对鲸鱼的疯狂追杀、最后葬身海中的隐喻性叙事描写,揭示出人类如果只以自身为主体,过度张扬自身的力量,蔑视自然界其他生物与人类同等存在的道德权利,则必将受到自然界的惩罚,从中凸显了麦尔维尔前瞻性的生态危机意识和对人类走出生态困境的深沉思考。

| Abstract: | One of the most important reasons why Moby Dick became accepted out of its obscurity is its ecology-oriented value reflected by the writer Herman Melville in the novel.By allegorically depicting the cruel killing of whales by Captain Ahab and the sailors in his whaling ship,and their tragically being drowned in the sea,the writer reveals if human kinds are too self-centered and contemptuous over other "beings" in nature human beings will inevitably punished by nature.And it also demonstrates the writer's strong ecological consideration over ecological crisis and how human kinds get out of it. |
