| Abstract: | The gourd had a close connection with ancestors' lives.The gourd was regarded as a cultural symbol besides food,and it was an important carrier of people's religious lives.The religious cultural content of gourd could be briefly analyzed from some aspects such as the reproduction worship,the symbols of ancestors,patron saint,instruments of driving out evil spirits and the cosmic consciousness of fairyland in Taoism. |
