论梁武帝与梁代的兴亡

梁代的兴亡有其必然的社会原因，并不能完全归结为梁武帝个人的作用，但他的行为也确实对梁代及南朝政权的灭亡起了一定的作用。梁武帝从一个“奸雄”蜕变为昏君，显然有其思想根源，他后来在政治上的一些失策和思想变化，往往和他早年一些行为造成的心病有关。

The rise and fall of Liang Dynasty have their own social causes. It's not right to attribute it to Emperor Liangwu himself, but it's quite reasonable to think that his deeds did something to the rise and fall of Liang and Nan Dynasties. The declining from a “villainous hero” to a corrupted emperor obviously has its source from his thought. Some of the politically unwise decisions and changes of thought in his latter time often have connection with the anxiety brought about by his deeds in the early days.
