英语语音能力与听力水平相关度研究

摘    要:国内学者对英语语音与听力的关系已有的研究主要集中在语音知识对听力理解过程中的影响,而忽略语音能力这一概念。文章通过对英语专业一年级学习者进行英语语音能力和听写能力测试,了解他们的英语语音能力和听写能力发展特点,验证英语语音能力与听力水平存在相关性的假设。研究表明,影响英语专业一年级学习者语音能力和听力水平的主要因素,是学习者不熟悉英语多音节词重读模式和独立语调群重读模式,以及其在真实语境中的变化。因此,要打破目前语音和听力课程相互割裂的局面,建立两门课程相互融合的课程体系,加强语音和听力课程的真实性、灵活性、可操作性和实践性的建设。

Abstract:The researches on the relation between English pronunciation and listening comprehension mainly focus on how the English learners distinguish what they hear by using phonological knowledge in speech perception,however,with the ignorance of the phonological competence.In order to prove the hypothesis that there exists a correlation between phonological competence and the level of listening comprehension,The testing of 116 first-year English majors with 4 tests rusults in the conclusion that the key factor,which influences the improvement of phonological competence and listening comprehension ability for the first-year English majors,is that the English learners are unfamiliar with the stress pattern of multi-syllable words and the independent intonation pattern and their variation in the authentic context.Therefore,it is necessary to break down the compartmentation of the two courses of English phonology and listening,establish a syncretic curricular system and construct the authenticity,flexibility,operability and practicability.
