| 摘 要： | 通过分析英语报刊中丰富的第一手资料,探讨报刊英语的词汇特点,得出报刊英语词汇的使用具有如下特征：短小词大量使用、缩略词层出不穷、杜撰词比比皆是、外来词大量涌现、报道国词偶露峥嵘、次要意义词频繁出现.文章例证词汇特点,解释使用原因,预测发展趋势.

| Abstract: | The paper explores the lexical features of newspaper English.They are:large number of midget words,constant emergence of abbreviations,frequent use of coinages,numerous borrowings,occasional appearance of words of the reported country,repeated use of words of peripheral meaning.Through citing examples from English newspapers,the author illustrates the 6 lexical features of newspaper English,explains the use of them,and points out the trend of their development. |
