| 摘 要： | 在英国著名作家托马斯·哈代的小说中,"威塞克斯"系列小说受到人们的普遍关注,但对于哈代来说,他的小说成功之处不只是浓厚的乡土性,更在于小说中表现出来的现代精神。现代城市文明存在于哈代的长篇小说中,创造出又一种现代精神氛围。

| Abstract: | In the novels of famous British writer Thomas Hardy,the series of novels＂Wessex＂are attached people＇s general attention,but for Hardy,the success of his novel is not only because of the strong localism,but further because of the modern spirit manifested in the novel. The modern city civilization exists in Hardy＇s novels,creates a another modern spiritual atmosphere. |
