村落第三域:村民自治研究的一种框架解释

走向现代化的中国农村,是一个有着深厚文化背景并逐步型构的历史体系,对它的研究必须关注整体,进而预设一种理论框架,如此,才能将微观制度的变迁置于整个农村秩序之下。村落第三域可以作为村民自治研究的一种框架解释。具体而言,中国村落具有共同体的属性,应被视为存在于人类共同体中独立于政治国家与市民社会,并基于二者关系而衍化出的第三域的组成,凝聚力、自足性和自主性是其核心属性,而自治则是其组织和生活规则。这一框架具有三点意义:可将村民自治权定位为村民自治制度的逻辑起点;可将村民自治进程中遭遇的问题概括为村落第三域核心属性淡化的表现;有助于指明村民自治的未来走向。
