The application of ethical matrix in genetically modified technology assessment

The biggest problem for ethical assessment of technological application lies in whether the interests of all parties have been taken into account and safe guarded in the course of the application of technology. Ethical matrix, as a new assessment method, synthesizes a number of ethical principles and then applies them to a specific case, thereby manifesting its obvious advantages in balancing the interests of the parties concerned and in resolving the conflicts between the parties as well. This paper aims to propose a constructive plan for making sensible policies concerning the application of genetically modified technology by justifying ethical matrix and by providing a model for the ethical assessment of genetically modified technology through case study.
