陈独秀科学思想的主要内容与影响

陈独秀是五四时期反传统的猛士。陈独秀认为,五千年来的中国文化,本质上是畸形的文化。既然民主和科学能把西方引到高度文明发达的社会,那么,也一定能帮助中国达到这一目标。因此他高举科学与民主的旗帜,他把科学视为理想的知识形态,把科学当作反对蒙昧主义的锐利武器,主张以科学改造中国社会。他的科学思想在中国起到了开启民智,重立人心的积极作用。

Gist and Influence of Chen Duxiu's Scientific Thoughts

Chen Duxiu was a great man during May 4th anti-tradition period.He maintained that Chinese ancient culture was virtually abnormal one.Since science and democracy have made the West become highly developed society,they will also help China to obtain the same goal. So he advocated science and democracy,regarding science as an ideal form of knowledge,using it as the weapon to fight agaist obscurantism.He claimed that science should be the weapon to reform Chinese society.His thoughts of science plays a tremendously positive role in the process of the reform of the traditional Chinese culture.
