The survival and growth of underground organizations are inextricably linked with social mechanism of contemporary China. The social mechanisms by which the underground organizations survive and grow in contemporary China include the mechanisms for social transition, social control, grassroots political power, social culture, social psychology, and social education. These interact with each other and influence each other. In the context of the deep level social background against which the underground organizations have formed, comprehensive social management should be emphasized, and a dimensional system of punishment and prevention established. Isolation and partiality should be avoided.
