中英文称赞语对比研究

本研究用DCT形式收集数据 ,研究中文称赞语的分类特点、句法结构、词汇特征及称赞答语的情况 ,并与英文称赞语进行对比。结果表明 ,除了显性称赞占主要地位外 ,还包括隐性称赞、非称赞和零称赞 ;显性称赞的句法结构与词汇呈现出公式化 ,与英文称赞语研究既相似又不同。称赞答语的结果表明多数人采取英文称赞答语中的接受策略 ,与中国传统规范并不完全一致

A Comparative Study of the Chinese and English Compliments

This research, based the data collected in the form of DCT,focuses on the classification, syntax; diction and response of Chinese compliments in comparison with the English compliments.The result indicates that Chinese compliments feature not only the key position of dominant compliments but also the existence of opaque compliments, non_compliments and zero compliments in Chinese. The syntax and diction of the dominant compliments assume characteristics of an equation, which are similiar to but as at the same time different from the English compliments.The research also shows that the phenomenon of adopting the response strategies of the English compliments by the majority does not conform to the traditional norms of the Chinese.
