| Abstract: | This paper introduces a computerized approach to quantitative studies of theoccurrence of words in College English,a four--copy series of course book compiled by PekingUniversity for English majors at basic stage. An analysis is made of the statistical results ofits new word distribution so as to review the series from the angle of vocabulary. It also discusses some problems important to teaching material compilation. |
