汉英色彩偏爱的文化美学阐释

语言是文化的载体,每种民族语言都与该民族的文化有千丝万缕的联系,都有相当数量的词语蕴含着丰富的国俗语义。文章以汉语的"红"和英语的"蓝"两个色彩词为例,在列举大量语言事实的基础上,从文化和审美的角度解释了造成两种语言色彩偏好的深层原因。旨在表明,一种语言中的词语在反映概念的基础上所增添的附加的民族文化色彩,离开了特定的民族文化背景,就难以达到对语言的深刻理解。

Cultural and Aesthetic Explanation of Color Preference in Chinese and English

Language is the carrier of culture.Each national language has lots of relationship with its culture in many aspects.Quite a number of words in its abundant folk semantics is a case in point.On the basis of reviewing a large amount of language material,this paper explained the reasons for the different color preferences in two languages from cultural and aesthetic viewpoint by taking two color words as the example,one is "red"in Chinese,the other is "blue"in English.The purpose of this paper is to show that it is difficult to deeply understand the color preference in a language if one doesn't consider the specific national culture background of the language.
