孔子“野合而生”乃民间传说

司马迁在《史记·孔子世家》中关于“纥与颜氏女野合而生孔子”的记载 ,为后人留下了一个迷。对此 ,历来仁者见仁 ,智者见智。本文从民间文艺学的角度 ,论证了“纥与颜氏女野合而生孔子”是传说的观点 ,指出“野合”就是指非正常性关系 ,但这并非是有意丑化圣贤 ,而恰恰是民间沿用描述英雄或伟人出生时常用的叙事模式 ,将孔子的出生传奇化。

That Confucius was Born from Illicit Sexual Relation was Folk Legend

There was a record in The Record of History.The Family of Confucius written by Si Maqian that Confucius was born from an illicit relation between Qi and a woman with the surname Yan. This record left an unknown story for the later generations and different people had different views toward this issue. Written from an angle of folk literature,this article hold a view that "it was only a legend that Confucius was born from an adultery relation between Qi and Yan"and that "illicit sexual relation"equals "unusual sexual relation",but this legend didn't mean to vilify Confucius,it was only a narrative model popular among people and this model was often used to describe how a hero or a great man came to the world. In this way the birth of Confucius was made a fantasy.
