眼罩功能与流变考论

眼罩作为一种古代生活用具在新疆阿斯塔那古墓被发现之后,在学术界引起较大争论,一般意见认为是冥器(瞑目),而本文认为应该是墓主生前使用的生活用具,于墓主死后作为随葬品伴着主人长眠地下。根据对《突厥语大词典》关于眼罩、雪盲等词条的解读,以及联系当地环境条件,本文认为眼罩是一种可以避光、挡风沙、遮面的日常生活用品。随着时间的推移,后世也在不断演化着眼罩的结构与质地,在宋及以后明清流行于北京等北方地区的眼纱、眼衣等就是眼罩的流变与改进。

The Function and Change of the Goggles

After the Goggle in Astana tomb of Xinjiang were found,their function is controversial among the scholars.Generally,they are regarded as funeral object(covering the eyes of the dead).This paper argues that they may be life applications that were used by the owner.According to the explanation for snow blindness and goggles in Turk Compendium of the Turkic Dialects,as well as considering local climatic conditions,the author argues that the goggles of Astana tomb are life application used to keep out of the sun,and stop sand,and cover face.As time goes on,after the Song dynasty and in Ming and Qing dynasty,the muslin or cloth over the eyes that populated in northern China,as Beijing,should be the modified production.
