Development of U.S. Military Industry and Its Successful Transformation into Processing Industry

This paper holds that the successful experience of U.S.Military industry's shift into processing industry around 1970s is revelatory to China's adjustment in military industry policy and implementation of West Development strategies.Based on the analysis,this paper puts forward the following proposals.We must attach great importance to the roles of national defense investment,firmly implant the idea of combining the military efforts with civilian support,and always adhere to the guidance of interest concept.Besides,policies and measures should be favorable to the overall planning between military industry economy and regional economy,to the promotion of massive development of industry,and to the furthering of economic restructuring and the construction of an open economic system.
