Although traditional translation theories ignore the role of translator, in fact a translator has a strong impact on his faithful translations because of his activeness and creativeness. So it is evident that translators play a crucial role in translation. Meanwhile, it is incredible for a translator to be free from the great influence by the culture he or she lives in.
