Old middle class is the main representative of laissez-faire capitalism.Its strong productism tendency accords with capitalist appetency for expanding.With the rising of monopoly capital and the establishment of welfare state,American old middle class declined.The long decline of old middle class meant the loss of the inherent momentum of capitalism.President Reagan launched the famous Reagan Revolution,which at last brought the revival of American old middle class and the development of American economy.
