徐松石"地名考证法"及其对民族学的贡献

徐松石先生在长期的学术研究中运用地名学与与语言学、历史学和地理学的关系,分析了华南及东南亚地区大量的原生地名和次生地名,从中概括出若干地名模式,构拟了文献失载的民族迁移的历史图景,揭示了这一地区不同历史时期的民族分布及各民族的关系,为民族学做出了重要的贡献。在他的影响下,20世纪50年代以来,研究中国南方民族特别是华南民族的不少学者,借鉴了他的地名考证法,在相关领域的研究中取得了突出的成绩,特别是在推动壮学的发展方面做出了贡献。

"Toponym Textual Research Method" of Xu Songshi and His Contribution to Ethnology

During the long-term academic research, Mr. Xu Songshi integrated toponymy with linguistics, history and geography to analyze the native toponym and secondary toponym of South China and Southeast Asia. He summarized a number of toponym model and constructed the historical prospect of ethnic movement that wasn't recorded in document, and he revealed the ethnic distribution and the relations of ethnics in the region during different historical periods, therefore he made important contributions to ethnology. Since the 1950s, many scholars who made research on the southern ethnic of China, especially the ethnic of South China, used his experiences of toponym textual research method. They have made outstanding achievements in the relative research fields and have particularly made great contributions in promoting the development of Zhuang study.
