论武汉城市郊区化

在新一轮的城市化建设中，武汉市政府及城市规划部门应把建立和完善多层次、网络状的城镇体系作为发展目标。对此，应有总体发展的思路和目标，即以推进城市郊区化和郊区城市化为核心，把卫星城和小城镇建设作为带动郊区城市化的重点环节，完善卫星城功能，加快小城镇开发建设步伐，形成对市区人口和农村人口有双重吸引力的城镇体系，促进人口和产业的合理布局，显著提高郊区城市化水平，促进城郊体系进一步完善和城市发展质量不断提高，构建起现代化特大都市的基本框架。

Wuhan City's Suburbanization

In the new round of urbanization attempt, the Wuhan municipal government and its urban planning departments should take it as an objective to build up a multileveled network urban system. The general strategy is to push forward the city's suburbanization and the suburbs' urbanization. Steps should be taken to construct satellite cities and small towns and to improve their functions so as to attract both the urban and rural populations. This will promote reasonable distribution of population and industries, raise the suburbs' level of urbanization, harmonize the urban-suburban network, better the quality of the city's development, and eventually form a framework for a metroplex.
