Abstract:The sampling investigation and analysis of 3 266 students in 24 universities suggests that the distribution of students' satisfaction intensity about teaching differs according to different types of universities and grades. The students from universities of science and engineering appear to share the most active satisfaction intensity, while the students from normal universities share the most negative satisfaction intensity. With the increase of grades, the satisfaction intensity decreases and the crucial grade during which a sudden falling of satisfaction intensity appears is Grade Two or Grade Three. Students' attitude towards teaching is highly related to their attitude towards teachers and curriculums. In order to improve teaching in universities, the authors give some advice on how to carry out the systematic reform of teaching, especially on how to enhance teaching qualities and renew the curriculums and their structures.
