| Abstract: | Good Faith is the latest novel of Jane Smiley,the greatest contemporary American novelist. Built around women's experience,the novel explores the marital and family crisis caused by the capitalist money-orientation,implying the impact of free capitalist economy and women's sexual liberation on American marriage and family and indicating the writer's expectation of what will happen to the family and marriage in the future. |
