从功能语法的角度分析《静夜思》

绝句是在唐代兴起的一种短小灵活的诗歌样式,它以极其经济的手段,表现最为广阔的生活,描绘最美好的境界,抒发最丰富的情怀。在绝句的英译过程中,由于中英诗歌的语篇特点不同,原诗与译文在诗意上会有不同程度的差别。本文将原文与译文视为不同的语篇,从语篇照应、语篇的指向性和经验功能三方面进行分析,通过比较得出绝句具有三个语篇特点:经常使用省略形式,以读者的联想与共鸣来贯通诗意;语篇指向性比其英译本要模糊;用简洁明了的诗句来表达复杂的经验功能。

Analysis on Jing Ye Si from the perspective of functional grammar

Five-word poetry is the most compact form of ancient Chinese poetry.In the process of translation these poetry into English,because of the different textual characteristics,the meaning of the original poem will get lost on a certain degree.The article focuses on the textual characteristics of five-word poetry and makes analysis through three aspects of reference,text orientation and experience metafunction and draws following conclusions that in five-word poetry,unlike English text,ellipsis is usually used and meaning of the poetry is understood by the readers through their imagination and empathy;the text orientation of Chinese text is vague than English,the complex experience metafunctions are expressed by concise text in five-word poetry.
