| Abstract: | The reader plays a significant role in the process of translation in that readers constantly exert influence on the translator＇s choice of translation strategies. The relevance theory integrates the consideration of readers into the traditional dual relationship between the original writer and translator, which highlights the importance of readers. The consideration of readers in relevance theory has an account for the current trend of foreignization in translation. |
