清代台湾建省后的改革与发展

台湾自古以来就是中国领土神圣不可分割的组成部分,早在宋代之时台澎就属今天福建省晋江市管辖;元代时在此设立澎湖巡检司;明代时设立了一府、二县;清朝初年设立了一府三县,归福建省管辖,公元1885年正式设立台湾省,成为中国第20个行省。台湾建省后,作为第一任巡抚的刘铭传对台湾从政治、经济、政区、交通、教育、海防等各个方面进行了新的适应省制发展的建制与改革,使台湾省面貌焕然一新。

Reforms and Development of Taiwan in Qing Dynasty

Taiwan has been an inseparable part of Chinese territory since ancient times for the following reasons: In Song Dynasty,Taiwan comes within the jurisdiction of the present Jinjiang city,Fujiang Province.In Yuan Dynasty,Penghu Patrol Station is established here and Fujiang Province is renamed.One prefecture and two counties are established in Ming Dynasty and one prefecture and three counties are established in pre-Qing Dynasty under the government of Fujiang Province.In 1885,Taiwan Province,the 20th province of China,is formally founded.As the first governor of Taiwan Province of China,LIU Ming-chuan makes brand-new reforms in Taiwan in politics,economy,administrative areas,transportation,education as well as coast defense.
