剪辫风潮与反清革命

在清朝发辫有着特定的含义,发辫是清朝统治的象征。辛亥革命时期革命党人把剪辫与反清革命紧密相联,以辫喻清,自觉剪辫与强迫剪辫都是反清革命的要求,依法剪辫是建设新政权的需要,推动着剪辫的前进。然而,革命党人使剪辫风潮过于政治化,违反习俗变异的自身规律,不利于剪辫风潮的发展。

THE AGITATION OF CUTTING PIGTAILS AND ANTI-OING DYNASTY REVOLUTION

The pigtails has a special meaning in Qing Dynasty, i.e. the symbol of Qing Dynasty ruling. During the Xin-hai Revolution , cutting pigtails either consciously or forced is the demand of anti-Qing Dynasty Revolution; and cutting pigtails according to law is the necessity in building the new regime. In the course of cutting pigtails, it resisted the development of cutting pigtails that the revolutionist had political nature attached on the cutting pigtails which went against regularity of custom to change.
