| 摘 要： | 为了满足美国政治的需要 ,美国英语发展了许多英国英语先前从未有过的政治词汇。美国英语的政治词汇主要源于 :1.美国政治术语 ;2 .美国政界人物 ;3.印第安语 ;4.词义的引申 ;5 .美国政界化妆语 ;6 .美国俚语 ;7.美国政界的政治别号 ;8.词汇旧义的扩展 ;9.美国政界创新语。

| Abstract: | In order to satisfy the needs of describing American politics, a lot of political words have emerged in the development of American English, which could not be found in British English prior to their appearance there. These lexical items mainly come from:(1)American political terms;(2)American political figures;(3)American Indian language;(4)extension of meanings;(5)euphemistical expressions;(6)American slangs;(7)nicknames;(8)new meanings derived from existing words; and (9)neologisms. |
