隐喻与国际关系理论的构建

隐喻作为人类理解世界最有力的工具之一,通过把社会实在“拟人化”,使我们能够把握抽象的世界,因而在科学理论的建构中隐喻发挥着重要作用。在国际关系理论中,遍布着隐喻的理论思维。新现实主义将国际体系隐喻为“纯粹竞争的市场”,新自由主义则将国际体系隐喻为“市场失灵”的市场,而建构主义则将国际体系隐喻为社会。

Metaphor and Construction of IR Theory

Metaphor plays a decisive role in the construction of scientific theory,making it possible for us to grasp the abstract world through the personification of social reality.In International Relations theories,there are a lot of metaphors. The author will first introduce the important role played by metaphor in theoretic construction from the perspective of scientific methodology,and then focuses on metaphor in IR theories.The main intention is to re-read mainstream international relations theories,thus gaining some enlightenment in theory innovation.
