Argument and reflection on the aesthetics in the 1990's

A remarkable scene in aesthetics in 1990's is the argument between practical aesthetics and post-practice aesthetics, and the emergence of rhetorical aesthetics and negative aesthetics. This wave of criticism, counter-criticism, surpassing and double-surpassing demonstrates the theoretical pluralism at the edge of the 21st century, shows the ongoing changes of depth and developing trends in the Chinese aesthetics, and exhibits the potential vigor and promising future in the Chinese aesthetics. However, there exist some problems deserving a further reflection: the numerous limitations on the post-practice aesthetics; the gap between aesthetic theory, argument and practice; lack of original creativity in the aesthetic circle.
