| Abstract: | The paper discusses the relationship between the subj ec tivity and faithfulness of translation from angles of individuality of the trans lator, historical effects and aims of translation. It is based on the theory ori ginated from Albir, one of the modern transtologists of France, that faithfulnes s should deal with three main aspects: subjectivity of the translator, historic significance and functions of the translation. |
