论孙奇逢《理学宗传》的性质

The Character of Sun Qifeng s Transmission of the Main Lineage of Principle-centered Learning

As a work summarizing Confucian learning of the Han, Tang, Song and Ming dynasties, Sun Qifeng＇ s Transmission of the Main Lineage of Principle centered Learning represents the most direct expression of his views on Principle centered Learning. The work aims to reconcile differences between Confucian schools and to reject the doctrines of Buddhism and Daoism. In this work he is principally concerned with constructing a ＂succession of the way＂ that includes Han Confucian scholars and Song Confucian scholars, and the school of Zhu Xi and the school of Wang Yangming. This is fully revealed in the structure and norms adopted in the book, and it ultimately determines the character of the book＇s approach to the learning of the way. Furthermore, the character of the Transmission of the Main Lineage of Principle-centered Learning and that of Case Studies of Ming Confucian are quite different in their respective aims concerning the way and scholarship, so it is unavoidable that Huang Zongxi should have given a biased account of Transmission of the Main Lineage of Principle-centered Learning when compiling Case Studies of Ming Confucian.
