明末汉译西书术语考析——以《天学初函·理编》为中心

明末入华的基督教传教士译述了大量西学著作,创译了大量西学术语。其中部分术语借用了中文古典语汇,这一方面是因为异种文化之间具有互通性,这为术语译介提供了客观条件;另一方面也有赖于耶稣会士所采取的＂学术传教＂策略。而文化的差异性与文化的自我意识却成为阻碍术语译介的深层文化因素。

Study on Chinese Western Academical Terms in Late Ming

At the same time in the missionary to China in the late Ming, Christian missionaries translated a large number of Chinese works covering all aspects of the Western academic. There are two reasons for the larger harvest of translations of Western terms in the late Ming, one is the interoperability between heterogeneous cultures, which provides the objective conditions for translations, another is the strategy of ＂ academic missionary＂ taken by Jesuits. But cultural differences and self consciousness hindered the translation of the underlying factors in translations of Western terms.
