| Abstract: | The transfer of jurisdiction over family matters to new tribunals to be known as 'Family Courts' is widely acknowledged to be desirable. But their precise constitution and the scope of their jurisdiction must be agreed upon before the establishment of Family Courts can be made politically acceptable. A case for the establishment of Family Courts is argued, and tentative proposals are made as to the constitution and status of Family Courts, their personnel and the matters over which they should have jurisdiction. |
