| 摘 要： | 语篇的连贯性是结构衔接或语篇形式的表征体现,语篇的理解与心理和认知等语言外因素息息相关。由于中西方人认知思维方式的不同,形式与语义、线性与环形、悟性与理性等语言现象在英汉语篇连贯中也存在差异,英语重形合、汉语重意合是导致其差异的本质原因。

| Abstract: | Discourse coherence is not only the structural connectedness or formal concord of discourse,but also the extra-linguistic factors such as psychological and cognitive factors that are related to the interpretation of discourse. Divergences in cognition and thought pattern lead to the differences of formal coherence vs. semantic coherence,linear coherence vs. circular coherence,rational coherence vs. comprehensible coherence in English and Chinese discourses,and Chinese being parataxis whereas English being hypotaxis is the fundamental cause for those differences. |
