| 摘 要： | 委婉语是人类语言中的一种普遍现象,带有极强的民族文化特征,是一种间接的言语表达形式,是建立良好的人际关系,确保语言交际顺利进行的重要言语手段。对委婉语在交际中的语用功能和表达方式做一些探讨,有助于我们更深入地了解英语国家人们的思维方式、社会价值观、道德观以及文化风格,对于提高自身的言语交际能力是十分必要的。

| Abstract: | Euphemism is a phenomenon widely seen in human languages with national characteristic that exists in all cultures.It can help people set up favorable relations with others in communication and keep the verbal exchange go on without a hitch.The further study on Euphemism is helpful for us to learn more about the people of English-speaking countries,including their way of thinking,social values,views on morality,their culture and customs.It will be eventually beneficial to improving the verbal communicative ability of our own. |
